SiteMetric Privacy Policy

Site Metric Pro LLC (“SiteMetric,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates SiteMetric, a construction operations software platform available at https://site-metric-pro.com and through our mobile applications (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Service, how we use and protect that information, and the choices you have.

By creating a SiteMetric account or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. This policy applies to all users of the Service, including account owners, invited company members, and external collaborators invited to a project through Project Connect.

We collect information in the following ways:

Information you provide directly

• Account information: name, email address, company name, and a password you choose.
• Company profile: company address, phone, logo, and estimating defaults you enter in Settings.
• Project and estimating data: customers, projects, estimates, proposals, takeoffs, daily updates, time entries, billing applications, and supporting documents you upload.
• Collaboration data: names, emails, and company names of people you invite to a project through Project Connect.
• Support requests: information you submit through our contact or support forms.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages viewed, features used, and approximate device and session information.
• Device and diagnostic data: app version, operating system, and crash or performance logs that help us keep the Service running.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including creating and hosting your company and project data.
• Authenticate you and keep your account and your company’s data secure.
• Generate estimates, proposals, reports, billing applications, and other documents you build.
• Process subscription payments and manage seats and plan entitlements.
• Send service-related communications such as invitations, password-reset emails, clock-out reminders, and billing notices.
• Respond to your support and account requests.
• Monitor for fraud, abuse, and security threats, and comply with our legal obligations.
• Improve and develop new features based on aggregate, de-identified usage trends.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal information under the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), to comply with our legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us at evan@site-metric-pro.com.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:

• Within your account: data you enter is visible to the other members of your company account according to the roles and permissions your company administrator configures. Through Project Connect, only the whitelisted information you choose to publish is shared with the collaborators you invite.
• Service providers: trusted third parties that help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting, email delivery, and payment processing through our billing provider, Stripe. These providers process information on our behalf and under written obligations to protect it.
• Legal compliance: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SiteMetric, our users, or others.
• Business transfer: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality protections.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Company and project data you create remains accessible to your company until you delete it or close your account. When you close your account, we remove or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
• Withdraw consent to processing that relies on consent.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.
• Receive a portable copy of the information you provided.

To exercise any of these rights, email evan@site-metric-pro.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days. You can also manage or close your account directly from the Settings and Account sections of the Service.

California notice

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. SiteMetric does not sell personal information.

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and row-level isolation of company data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, and loss.

The Service is intended for business use by contractors and construction professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact evan@site-metric-pro.com so we can remove it.

SiteMetric is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to that transfer. We take appropriate measures to ensure the protection of that information under applicable data protection laws.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences, and analytics to understand aggregate usage so we can improve the Service. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings; some features may be affected.

Certain features, such as AI-assisted plan takeoff and material description analysis, send the documents or text you submit to an AI model to produce a result. When you use these features, the content you provide is processed to generate the output and is not used to train models on your data. You control whether and when to use these features, and any AI-generated result is presented for your review before it is saved to your account.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service before providing personal information to them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top and, for material changes, provide notice in the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
